There is little in the logjam-WCHA, Minnesota and no. 2 and no. 5 North Dakota right in the middle of it.
The trail will connect, just Wisconsin in WCHA, will have the opportunity to extend their two point lead over third place in the Sioux of North Dakota this weekend.
“This Conference is so tight, especially where we are in, according to North Dakota. It would be great the last couple of weekends to play, “Minnesota assistant coach Joel Johnson said. “The two teams that really nice face off this weekend.”
Minnesota (14-2-0, 8-2-0 WCHA) historically has dominated the rival Sioux (10-5-1, 7-4-0 WCHA). Gophers lead the all-time series 27-3.
However, all three losses came last season, as Minnesota beat in three and four meetings of the team.
